Another friend has agreed to open her office to us: Chelsea Fuss. Chelsea’s self-written job description includes creating editorial content for websites, styling flowers and props for sets, consulting on DIY events, designing and producing weddings and parties, and authoring Frolic!, her “daily lifestyle blog”. In other words, she sees beauty and helps others see, create and share it. We love her job! We also love her office. The soft, warm color on the walls allows vibrant colors on the inspiration boards to pop and inspire, and there is by no means a shortage of pattern to spark creativity. It seems like the perfect, cozy place to settle down, be inspired, and work. Here is more of what Chelsea shared with us:
The Desk: Was my great-grandfathers. It’s tiny and it’s shabby, but it has memories so one of these days I will be refinishing it. It sits in a tiny corner of my 400 square foot studio… I don’t actually sit at my desk very often.
Chair: My grandmother’s. I love this chair; it is really old but I love the modern lines it has. Also needs to be refinished.
Paper: Sticky notes from Sukie. I go crazy with sticky notes… it gets out of control! I write everything on them, and then they get lost (see organization!)
Calendar: I’ve got three up there now: one from Black Pearl Press, one from Diana Fayt, and another from Dutch Door Press. I am crazy for calendars.
Inspiration: I change my inspiration board every month or so. I like keeping my apartment neutral colors so I can change colors all the time.
Flat note or folded: Flat – I love postcard-style stationery.
Organization: Still trying to learn this…
Handwritten or emailed: Everything is emailed. I dream of hand-written thank you notes. Once in a while I get around to it.
Magazine: Piles everywhere!
Stationery: Letterpress
