Thursday Morning
We’re on a little class break. Very short, so here’s the latest synopsis.
Tuesday night, Ko Sushi. Loved it–tasted different than southern sushi. David said it was because the water is different?
Wednesday, in class–groups got together to start working on the final project. My group is doing an analysis/rebranding of the flailing Gap stores.
Wednesday afternoon, we went to a digital museum that had a presentation called Eyebeam. Sort of odd. My flip flops were cutting into my feet, and we were walking everywhere, so I was a bit cranky. After Eyebeam, we went to the museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where there was a presentation on Lux. Again, loved it.
We continue to talk a great deal about sustainable design. We also are required to learn Second Life, which looks like an interesting internet time-sucker, just what I need. We have an editor from InStyle coming to speak next week, as well as another professor from Parsons who works for House Beautiful and has experience in creative product development.
My roommates are very sweet. We are enjoying getting food to go at local delis and dining in our little kitchenette in the evenings. We are going to try to see Legally Blonde on Broadway. (David took me to see Beauty and the Beast when he was here–it was wonderful!)
I’m going to try to get out some more in the evenings. Lately, I’ve been too wiped out to keep going, but I’m afraid I’m going to miss out on so much if I don’t explore some more.
I’ll post links to the above attractions later…ciao for now!
