Announcing the October Mastermind Intensive!
For the last few weeks, I’ve been talking about mindset shifts on the blog. I’ve said before that mindset is the number one most important thing an entrepreneur needs to keep in check to make their business success.
I’ve seen this idea reflected in almost every change, growth or new adventure in my career as an entrepreneur. When things got tough, I turned to my entrepreneurial friend group for support. After we found out my first business would have to file bankruptcy, I sat in my mastermind group with my head in my hands, shoulders shaking as I sobbed out my grief and shame. After Day Designer grew so quickly, I hashed out next steps and outlined strategies for sustainable growth with my mastermind group. And being part of a regular mastermind group is one of the things I miss the most about living rurally now!
My point is this: a mastermind group, a meeting of entrepreneurial peers, is the one thing that helped me wade through tough days, encouraged me to clarify my goals and make decisions that drove business. My involvement in mastermind groups is why I am where I am now. Mastermind groups are the number one thing that helped me, and can help you, make the mindset shifts necessary to grow your business.
Mindset shifts aren’t easy, they don’t always led to instant results but I’ve learned that if you’re willing to put in the work of seeking clarify and refocusing your mentality, you will ultimately grow yourself and your business. This is why I’ve created the Mastermind Intensives. Not only do I miss the peer-to-peer interaction with other female entrepreneurs, I miss pouring into the lives of other entrepreneurs.
So, what is a mastermind, you ask?
I’m so glad you asked.
For starters, a “mastermind”, for our definition, is a group of entrepreneurs from all walks and avenues of business. For the intensives, we’re going to stick with women (sorry, guys). We will use a structured format to guide small groups through understanding each of your businesses, so that the group can provide valuable feedback and actionable ideas.
The next question I usually get after I explain what a mastermind is, is, what can I expect out of the intensive?
Again, I’m so glad you asked.
First of all, the structure will be very comfortable and intimate. We cap attendance at 8 seats for each intensive. That being said, the reason we structure it to be so comfortable and intimate, is we want you to feel safe enough to get out of your comfort zone. (Contradictory, I know, but I promise—this format is amazing. Magic!) Getting you away from your day-to-day setting is part of getting you out of your comfort zone, but we’ll ask you to put away your phone and focus on your group. They’ll give to you, so you’ll get out of it what you put into it.
All of this will also help you make connections with other female entrepreneurs, so you’ll have a peer group to support you when you return home. You’ll be presented with lots of different ideas and perspectives, from across a variety of different businesses, challenging you to think differently. And all of this will result in you gaining inspiration, motivation and a new mindset.
This is my dream for you! A mindset shift is EVERYTHING!
We’ve announced the next Mastermind Intensive, which will be held this October 24-26 in Carlton Landing, Oklahoma, the beautiful lake-side town my family and I call home. Will you join us?
More about the Mastermind Intensive experience:
The Mastermind Intensive is a two-night experience that brings together women entrepreneurs in a unique format. We’re creating a community to discuss new ideas, ideas you can use to create clarity for yourself, up-level your business, and encourage personal and business growth. Also there will be a lot of wine.
This format brings out the best of real-life experiences from seasoned entrepreneurs and allows their insights, mistakes and growth curves to aid you in your steps to your next level. It will allow you to see that you’re not alone. You’re not the only one who has experienced that failure, that struggle or that challenge. In fact, you’re likely going to provide as much value to your fellow attendees as they’re going to provide to you.
The magic of this process is that it will pull from many perspectives, types and stages of businesses, and in many ways, will simply give you a platform to sort through a challenge you may be experiencing or idea you want to flesh out. Our intensives are solutions-focused. Unlike traditional conferences, there won’t be anyone teaching. You will be in a group with three other women and a facilitator, and we will be workshopping on your business.
If this sounds like something you need, hop over to the Mastermind Intensive page and read more about how this experience will help you and your business grow. Spots are limited and pricing will increase. Our last Mastermind Intensive sold out and we’re anticipate the same for our October session. Have questions? Shoot me and my team a line. We’d be happy to jump on a call to see if the Mastermind Intensive is right for you!
Hi Whitney and team –
I have read through the entire post but want to inquire as to whether or not your feel the mastermind is focused more on product-based businesses or would service-based businesses (ideas?) benefit as well? My ideas are for a business/communications consulting business or a PR agency. Thank you!
