Best Books for Kids 2019
I’ve talked a lot about how much my family loves reading! We head to the library at least once a week, if not more, during the summer to beat the heat and check out new books for the whole family. While we’re tracking our reads on our Summer Reading Log, I thought I’d share a few of our favorite kid-friendly books and series.
Dragons Love Tacos and Dragons Love Tacos 2
These books inspired our taco night dinner a few weeks ago (don’t worry, we stayed away from super spicy salsa). All three of my kids love these!
The Fable Haven Series
While the others on this list are books my kids can read to themselves, this is the one we’re tackling as a family. It’s my goal to get through this entire series this summer by reading aloud to them each night. We have absolutely loved sharing this series together!

My oldest son is so into Ella and Owen. He has been working through the series this summer and once he finishes a book, begs to go to the library to grab the next one!
