Favorite Pen Cup Finds

I love to say that every room in the house should have a notepad and a pen cup (fully stocked with pens, of course)! There’s nothing worse than walking into a room, having an important thought, and not having anywhere to write it down!

Pen cups aren’t just for pens: they are great for makeup brushes, paintbrushes, markers, rulers, and paint stir sticks, too. Smaller vases can be used for toothpicks or matches. Larger vases are great for kitchen utensils, 18″ rulers, or really big paintbrushes (can you tell what I use mine for? I have paintbrushes everywhere)!

I love searching for unique, fun pen cups to sprinkle throughout my house or to stock in my booth at Mockingbird Manor Antiques. I’ve been browsing Etsy lately, and wanted to share some of my favorite finds with you!

For your desk:

This vintage Moroccan-style pen cup would be darling on a desk, as would these cute little brass critters!

Vintage Finds:

I love to shop vintage. Vintage items tend to have more imperfections than new, but I think that adds to their charm and helps tell their story. This hand-painted pen cup has a story to tell! And so does this one! If you know me, you know I can’t get enough of blue and white, so I love this vintage option as well! I also have my eye on this one with a classic blue and white dragon pattern. This pair of blue and white porcelain pen cups would be perfect to put in a larger room where you might want to have a pen cup and notepad on more than one surface. And this garlic head vase is a bit of an unusual shape, but with five slots, it is perfect for storing pens!

Classic Blue Willow:

It’s no secret that I love anything in the Blue Willow pattern—this adorable pen cup is destined for a Blue Willow kitchen! This rattan one is a great neutral that could go anywhere, and I also love this rattan option.

British Flair:

This seashell pen cup has a bit of the British flair that I’m loving lately (and this one comes in five color options).

Oversize Option:
