A Baby Shower for Rebecca
The shower started at 10 a.m. Personally, I’m not a fan of mid-day showers. Showers that start at 2:00 in the afternoon tend to eat up the rest of the day, and make you not hungry for dinner. Since it was a morning shower, we went with a brunch menu: little quiches, fruit and coffee cake with coffee, punch, and iced tea. (If you’re in the South, NEVER forget the iced tea at a shower!) Instead of cake, we opted for cupcakes. Chelsea ordered several flavors for the local cupcake lady.
It was plenty of food for a morning shower!
One of my favorite touches was the the party favors. We ordered cookies from The Cookie Princess. To coordinate with the giraffe print invitation, we had the Cookie Princess make giraffe-shaped cookies, iced in white and dotted with light blue polka dots. They came tied in these cello bags with brown ribbon–the perfect baby shower party favor!
