A Quick Fall Flower Arrangement
We recently had pansies planted in our yard for fall. While the crew was planting them, they also cleaned up all my flower beds from my “I think I’ll try to grow a jungle” summer gardening activities.
One of the beloved plants that had to go was my basil. This past year, I planted it in a corner where it could get big and wild. We used the fresh basil all summer long, so I thought I might try to freeze some of it or turn it into pesto, so when the yard guys cut it, they set it aside for me.
Long story short, one thing led to another, and the pesto didn’t get remade. I was about to chunk the basil in the trash when I realized I could stick it in a vase and enjoy it for at least another day or two. So we did. And for about three days it sat on this little table in our entryway and charmed my socks off every time I walked by it, enjoyed the fragrance, and delighted over my little foraged blossoms.
Had to share!
