Country Living’s Women Entrepreneurs 2009
Last spring, Whitney attended the Country Living’s Women Entrepreneurs 2008 Event and had a blast! This event provides a unique opportunity for women entrepreneurs to mingle, network, sit in on relevant and insightful seminars, and pitch their product or service to Country Living. Because we truly believe that this event is worth attending, we wanted to share some pictures from last year… and hopefully encourage you to attend on Saturday, May 30! In the top picture, Whitney is am standing with Anna Griffin, who is well-known in stationery circles; over the years, her hard work and quality products have inspired us and pushed us toward higher standards. With Whitney in the next picture is Anne Marie Craig, a woman who has carried on her grandmother’s work by hand-crafting quality soaps on her family’s century-old farm.
With Whitney in the next picture is Juanita Carmack, whose company, Taco Chic Salsa, makes several varieties of authentic and fresh Mexican salsa. The bottom picture shows Polly Wilson of Barn Dandys, a company that makes whimsical, child-sized furniture and household objects.
As you can see, this event brings together a wonderful blend of women from a wide variety of fields… and we all have a great time! Whitney will be in Chicago again this year–if you see her, please say hello!
