Good Recipe: Homemade Taco Seasoning
Taco Night is relatively new to our family! My kids are just now getting into tacos (finally, thank you!!) so I envision more Taco Nights in our future. It makes for an easy week-night meal, plus it’s fun and delicious for the whole family.
While we don’t claim to be perfectly healthy or strict, I do try to home-make things when I can, including taco seasoning. The store-bought versions typically have a ton of added junk so I’ve perfected homemade taco seasoning and I’m excited to share it with you today! This proved to be a ground pleaser with my kids and I bet it will be with your loved ones too.
Here is our recipe for Homemade Taco Seasoning:
-
2 tablespoons chili powder
-
1 tablespoon ground cumin
-
2 teaspoons cornstarch
-
2 teaspoons kosher salt
-
1 1/2 teaspoons hot smoked paprika
-
1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon oregano
Instructions:
- Combine all seasonings and add to 1 lb. ground beef (ground turkey or chicken would also work!) for Taco Night!
- Pro-tip: you can multiply the recipe and store your homemade taco seasoning in a jar for quick and easy future use.
