It Had to be Pink
When you subscribe to the theory, “too much is never enough”, it can be hard to decide on certain favorites. As a designer, it makes editing a challenging task.
Over the years, my favorite color has fascilated. During the high school years of teenage agnst, I was a big dark green fan. Post college, I’ve gone through a heavy aqua phase, painting almost any room a shade of that graceful green-blue. And I’ve always been partial to muted colors; I love the washed-out yellow shades of vintage textiles (in decorating, they can be very forgiving.)
But I always come back to pink. I always buy pink toothbrushes, pink workout clothes, pink lipstick, and pink cable knit sweaters. (Oh, I’m a sucker for pink cable knit).
So when it came time to choose colors for our wedding, I looked at other options, but I just couldn’t commit. The white roses were too plain, the red ones too harsh, the blue hydrangeas were just too casual. I had to have giant pink garden roses, peonies.
