January 2021 Whitney English Planner Covers

September 9, 2020 whitneyenglish 5 Comments

I’ve been designing planner covers since 2010. I’ve lost count of the number of stripes and florals, vintage motifs, and modern patterns I’ve created over the years. Some were hand-drawn, others digitally created – all thoughtfully designed to ensure you have beautiful products to use and love.

Designing planner covers has been a favorite part of my job for many years!

When I sold Day Designer and launched a brand new planner brand last November, I set out with some new design goals in mind: our planner cover patterns should be a reflection of your home. I gather insight from interior design trends and pull inspiration from my own home to create exclusive designs for our collections.

The products we create at Whitney English and A Plan for Health are not only functional (I LOVE SYSTEMS), they look beautiful sitting on your desk.

Let’s dive into the designs in our January 2021 planner collection, three new cover patterns for our Week on One Page format planner. Click here to watch me give you an insight into each of the new cover designs on Instagram!

This collection was designed to be a reflection of home – neutral tones in signature patterns. We have a returning favorite, updated in a fresh shade and two entirely new patterns that I love!

Solid Frost Blue with English Chintz Interior
A take on a returning classic is the name of the game with the Solid Frost Blue Cover. We always try to include one solid cover and that’s what we’ve done here. The interior design features an English Chintz floral pattern so it’s a bit professional in the front and party on the inside.

Gingham with Gold Foil Pinstripe Interior
Next up is the Gingham cover design! If the response we got from our cover reveal is any indication, this one is going to be a fan favorite! In the most perfect powdery grey-blue, the gingham pattern is a nod to the Grand Millenial interior design trend I am loving right now. The interior pattern is a gold foil pinstripe that plays the gingham print nicely!

Antelope with Gold Pinstripe Interior
Finally, we have the Antelope cover in a tan, almost grey shade. It is the perfect FUN neutral (animal print can be neutral, right?) and features a gold foil pinstripe interior as well. I absolutely love this pattern — many of you noticed I have several antelope rugs in our house! I told you I pulled inspiration from my own home!

You’ve been asking for 2021 planners! The January 2021 Week on One Page planners will launch one week from today on Wednesday, September 16. You’ll be able to shop the new collection here.
