How to Use the Week on One Page Planner and HEART Goals Together
Earlier this week, I answered the question What is HEART Goals? My goal-setting system, that has been tweaked and refined over the last several years, is a core part of the new Whitney English planner! I designed my new planner and the HEART Goals course to work seamlessly together. Creating tools that help women live a more beautiful, balanced, and meaningful life is my calling and these products are designed to do just that!
The 2020 HEART Goals course includes a 55+ page workbook, and e-course videos that walk you through each exercise with practical tips and tricks for connecting your yearly goals to your larger vision for your life. The course helps you set balanced goals and learn to prioritize your tasks accordingly.
The 2020 Week on One Page Planner picks up where the course leaves off. While the course isn’t a requirement for the planner, it helps you create some clarity that is beneficial. This planner gives you the space, physical and mental, to focus on the prioritized tasks you identify in the HEART Goals course. It helps you take the action plan you created and take the action! With yearly prompts, monthly goal setting check-in pages and ample room for notes, the planner ensures you’re making progress with HEART.
Here is how to use the Week on One Page Planner and the HEART Goals course together to create a balanced and beautiful 2020!
No. 1 Create your 2020 Goals with the HEART Goals Course.
The HEART Goals course will challenge you to dig deep and do some awesome things in the process. You’ll be asked to let go of the past and dream big, to really consider the big vision for your life. Through ten thought-provoking and engaging exercises you’ll break down your goals into actionable steps. When you’re done with the course, you will have sorted and organized your goals into a Goal Grid and mapped out the specifics of your HEART Goals with daily, weekly, and monthly actions. Most importantly you’ll have the confidence that the goals you have established will get you where you want to go in life.
No. 2 Have a scheduling session and get it ALL in your planner!
Next, you’ll take everything you learned, all the tasks, actions, and steps that you mapped out in the course and you will put it in your planner! This seems like a simple step but it’s the most important. This is the step that helps you go from saying you’re going to do something to actually doing it. Once it’s in your planner you’ll be able to the small steps that add up to your big dreams!
No. 3 Use the planner’s Monthly Goal Check-In pages to track your progress.
Now check your progress! Life happens. Things get busy. You may think you can get way more (or way less) done in a month than you actually can. Remember, the HEART Goals system is not about doing more, it’s about doing better, in the right order, in every area of your life. Utilize the monthly goal check-in pages built directly in your planner to identify what worked, what didn’t work, and what next steps need to be scheduled for the upcoming month.
No. 4 Take all the notes, make all the to-do lists and get everything out of your head and onto paper in the planner’s over 75 extra notes pages!
We call the Week on One Page planner, the list lover’s planner for good reason. There are over 75 lined pages for notes! That means you can store your lists, notes, to-dos, daily downloads and more directly in your planner. No more separate notebook for lists! No more keeping track of scrap paper notes! No more moving to-do list items from one page to another! The Week on One Page planner lets you get everything out of your head and onto paper in the same space where you track your weekly schedule. This is how you make sure your goals, and your life, are on track!
No. 5 Use the HEART Goals checklist to help you stay on track when you need it most!
I created these two products, the HEART Goals course and the Week on One Page planner, to work in unison. I wanted to give you the tools to dream up the life you want as well as the confidence, resources and tools to chase those dreams. The checklist in the Week on One Page planner is the perfect way to reset your day, your week or your month when you start to get off track. The HEART Goals checklist makes sure you stay balanced, healthy, and focused when life throws you off course. And it reminds us that small actions add up to major progress over time!
The HEART Goals course and the new Whitney English planner were created to work together and I invite you to invest in both in 2020! Set balanced goals with the 2020 HEART Goals course, then take action and track your progress with the Week on One Page planner. You can live a balanced life while chasing your dreams!
