Designing planner covers has been a favorite part of my job for many years! I mentioned last year that I’ve lost count of the number of stripes and florals, vintage motifs, and modern patterns I’ve created since 2010. Some were hand-drawn, others digitally created but all designed to be a beautiful piece for you to use and love.
When I sold Day Designer and launched a brand new planner brand in 2019, I had a very unique design goal in mind: our planner cover patterns should be a reflection of your home. I gather insight from interior design trends and pull inspiration from my own home to create exclusive designs for our collections.
With all of that in mind, I am thrilled to unveil our 2022 Planner Collection! Including three new weekly cover styles and one returning daily planner style, this collection has something for everyone.
We hosted the 2022 Collection cover reveal on Instagram — watch here! My husband David and I had so much fun sharing this collection. We even unintentionally color-coordinated with the new cover styles. HA!
This year we were thrilled to collaborate with two incredible designers. Sweet Caroline Designs and Maryfrances Carter are two amazing women whose style and talent I have admired for a long time. I was thrilled when they both agreed to help with our newest planner collection!
First, let’s talk about the planner formats we’ve included in this collection! Different seasons call for different systems, but all seasons call for a calendar. The planner format I reach for varies depending on the week or the month, whether the kids are in school or I’m on a strict project deadline. Sometimes, I need a daily view, or a project list, or a weekly layout.

Now, for the best part; let’s talk about the incredible cover patterns and the story of how this collection came to be!
The first of our 2022 Week on One Page cover styles is a multi-colored floral print designed by Sweet Caroline Designs. With shades of pinks, blues, and greens, this is such a fun springy floral pattern! Caroline is one of many Instagram friends – I’ve met so many wonderful real-life friends and colleagues on IG. She used to design her own planners; when she announced she was no longer offering that as part of her product line, I reached out to ask if she wanted to collaborate! Luckily she said yes. I sent the color pallette and she came up with this beautiful botanical print. Follow Caroline on Instagram for so much cuteness, including the most beautiful cakes!
Maryfrances Carter designed the cutest blue and white print with a coordinating interior liner. You know I am such a sucker for anything blue and white and this cover style is perfect. Maryfrances is so talented — I am obsessed with her beautiful pottery! When I reached out and asked if she wanted to design a cover, she sent me hand-painted artwork. We worked together to put the pattern in repeat and come up with the palette. Follow Maryfrances on Instagram and you’ll see her incredible pottery for yourself!
The third and final weekly planner cover is the solid cornflower blue! With a gold foil pinstripe interior, this cover is perfect for someone who wants a planner that’s a bit more neutral! The two tone blue cover rounds out the collection perfectly.
Now for the returning favorite: our Day on One Page planner is back in the cutest antelope print! This cover style has been a best-seller in several of our previous collections. The two-color print is fun but feels neutral enough to love throughout the year.
