Why I Love The Fitbook (and a Giveaway!)
If you’ve been reading this blog for any longer than two weeks, there are a couple of things you’ve probably realized. For starters, I love goals. I love setting them, I love reaching them. Next, I love anything I can write on. Especially if it’s related to goals and achieving them. Third, I’m a sucker for a good worksheet. And a lesser known fact: I’m a sucker for a good workout. I think I want to add to my life list: have Jillian scream at me during a last chance workout. THAT would be cool. But I digress.
So when I was cruising around Twitter one night, and saw Angela tweeting about Fitbook, I was instantly sucked in. A spiral bound, motivational, journal for tracking my workouts? YES, please. We instantly swapped info, and she offered to let me do a giveaway for TWO of her Fitbooks on the blog! Friends and readers, if you’re a lover of the Day Designer, you may just fall head over heels in love with the Fitbook, too.
Here’s just a little snippet of what Fitbook can do for you:
- Develop a game plan! Goal setting 101: you have to write this stuff down, right?
- Track your progress! Workouts AND food intake!
- Celebrate victories! What’s a good goal without a little reward? Fitbook reminds you to do this in 12 week increments.
Fitbook then offers you a planning page for each week. Just like you plan for your weekly grocery shopping, Fitbook challenges you to plan for your weekly workouts: strength training, cardio, and flexibility.
Once you’ve made the plan for your week, Fitbook offers you pages to track your workouts. For strength training, there is a spot to record each exercise, along with number of sets. The cardio section allows you to record your time, intensity, distance, heart rate, and calories. Each workout page reminds you to warm up and cool down with stretching, and has a spot to summarize each day’s workout.
We all know that if you’re going to work out, you have to eat right, too. Fitbook offers a food log page to go hand in hand with all your workout efforts. Each food log page has room for three meals and three snacks, which is perfect! There is a spot to track nutrients (remember to eat all your grains, veggies, etc). On top of that, you can record your water intake AND your sleep!
In short, ya’ll, this little Fitbook packs a serious punch.
Fitbook has left no stone unturned with a final weekly wrap-up page. What goals have you reached? What rewards have you earned? What did you do well? What didn’t work quite as well? There is even a page to record your measurements, and in the back, there is a pocket for your gym card! (Perfect, because I am ALWAYS losing mine).
I’m so excited to be able to offer a giveaway for a FitBook! There will be two lucky winners–one winner will receive the black Fitbook, and one winner will receive the white Fitbook! You can tweet about the giveaway as many times as you want, in order to gain extra entries, so come back daily to enter again!
Awesome! I’ve never seen the Fitbook, but I sure do want one now! Thanks for the giveaway!
Just wondering if there is a website I can purchase this book? Looks amazing 🙂

Please make a teacher lesson plan and grade book!!!
I discovered Fitbook at Target and absolutely loved the journal. I tried to buy more to continue tracking the progress of my post baby weight loss journey but they unfortunately stopped selling them. I would love to get my hands on another journal to help me track the last 10lbs I need to drop to back to my prebaby weight.
I think you can order at http://getfitbook.com, and you could also probably message Angela directly on Twitter at @fitbook!
