A Friday Round-Up Post & Some Announcements!
Happy Friday, friends! Fridays are a good day for a round-up of links and a summary of events, right?
On the news forefront: we officially opened a second session for Stationery Academy this August! Session I will be August 22-24, and Session II will be August 25-27. Each session is limited to 20 attendees. The first session is over halfway full, and the second session also has several registrants as well! Natalie and I are excited, to say the least!
We also announced two scholarship opportunities for Stationery Academy this week. One scholarship will be given out based on need. I believe that workshops are such an important part of any career’s continued education, but I know that they can get expensive. We’ve tried to make Stationery Academy very affordable this year, by creating an all-inclusive package that will feel like a total vacation, and is absolutely an incredible value! But I still know that it’s hard for some start-up mamas to attend every workshop they want to, so we’re trying to help make that happen.
We’ll also be offering one scholarship just based on helping us get the word out there, so throw all your social media skills into the effort! For the social media scholarship, you can enter multiple times per day, so be sure to check out the scholarship page on the Stationery Academy website for details.
In case you missed it yesterday, I also announced that I’ll be doing Authenticate workshops around the country this spring. The Authenticate workshop is designed to be a day of digging deep, uncovering core values, brainstorming what works for your brand, and curating all that information into visual and verbal messaging that you can take away and apply to your personal brand strategy. My goal is for each attendee to leave with a once-and-for-all WHY statement, a list of core values, some strong key messaging, and clarity on a brand strategy for moving forward. I’ve had offers from Savannah, Nashville, St. Louis, Raleigh, and Houston, and interest from Philadelphia and a few other places. If you’d like for me to visit your city, please drop me a line and let me know! I’m trying to schedule the first workshops for end of March and all of April, and hope to visit several cities a few weeks!
This week, I also really enjoyed:
- Kate’s take on the new social video app, Vine.
- Rachel’s recap of to-dos from Alt Summit.
- Ciera’s business card summary from Alt Summit.
- How To Have A Year That Matters
- Sarah Tolzmann’s portfolio.
Next week, I’m doing a small sidebar update, so check back for more pretty links! Happy weekend!
Oh, I’m so happy to hear you’re planning a workshop in Nashville! I’m planning to launch an online shop in the spring, and I’m struggling with developing a clear brand identity. I do hope it works out where I can come!
Thanks for sharing my business card post Whitney!
