All the Planning Tools You Need for Summer
My kids are out of school which means summer is here! As a busy mom of 3 who works, I have to be intentional about planning for a fun and sane summer with my kids. They’re a bit older so while we don’t need childcare, we do need some structure!
As a family, we’re pretty unscheduled people. When David and I got married, we joked that flexibility was one of our family values. We like being able to go at our own pace, and we’re grateful to be businesspeople that have the ability to do that. We know our kids need some structure. Summertime, especially, we’ve noticed that our kids thrive with a schedule in place.
We want the summer to be full of engaging, educational, fun activities but it can be exhausting. Here are 4 incredible tools to help you have the best (sane and fun!) summer with your family! Read on to get our newest printable absolutely FREE.
Summer with Kids Prep Checklist
We just released this FREE summer checklist printable! Use it to prep your home and your family for a fun-filled summer. It’s a great springboard for additional ideas and can easily be tailored to fit your family’s needs! I’m using it to get the house setup for summer learning, stocking our sunscreen pile (yay for the new pool!), and doing some decluttering and cleaning!
Meal Plan Sticky Notepad
Our schedules may be extra flexible in the summer but our family thrives with a bit of routine. Keeping a somewhat regular meal plan also helps me make sure our family isn’t only eating sweet treats and summer BBQs staples. I love this sticky notepad. David and I map out a meal plan before our weekly grocery store run. Then we stick that week’s meal plan right on the fridge so everyone in the family can see it!
HEART Goals for Kids Daily Checklist
I’m teaching my kids Last summer we instated a new way of structuring the kids daily chores. Using the HEART Goals Checklist as their daily chore checklist has been a game changer for our family. It helps the kids earn the next day’s privileges, like playing with friends, swimming, and one hour of screen time. Do you need a way to structure your kids’ chores this summer? Are you looking for ways to teach them about goals? This cute notepad is perfect for your summer!
The Best Daily Planner for Notes and Lists
Gone are the days of feeling guilty when you go out of town or don’t use your planner every single day. Our daily planner is undated and perfect for the summer! It’s the planner I use to keep running lists, work through projects, and find productivity on days when I desperately need it!
