Best Ceiling Fans for Beautiful Spaces

My husband hates to be hot and most times the A/C does not do enough to keep him cool. So we installed ceiling fans in most of the common rooms and kitchen of our house. As we’re working on remodeling our new home (#whitneyforeverhouse!) we’ll be adding fans over there too! We have so many decisions to make. I’m using my Home Design Guidebook to map out the spaces, jot down ideas, and make a plan for each room.
Here are my best tips for selecting fans as well as some of the best ceiling fans for beautiful spaces!
Some people think ceiling fans are an absolute eyesore but I think there’s a way to make them work in almost any room. If you’re needing to update a room with a ceiling fan, my biggest piece of advice before buying would be this: listen to it on all of the different speeds, especially if the fan is going into a room you are in all of the time (like a living room). You are going to want to hear how it sounds because you will be hearing it a lot!
Another big tip when selecting a ceiling fan: say no to light kits. My no-fail recipe for ceiling fans is to make it go away. Paint your fan the same color as your ceiling and it will look seamless. Now to my favorite summer ceiling fans!
