Best Way to Plan Your Week
Tired of feeling like the week is happening TO YOU instead of YOU being in charge? Want to guarantee you’ll have a better week? Read on, friend. This post is for you.
Successful people all have something in common. I’m not talking only about people who have found success with work. I’m talking about successful people who are happy in their relationships, have a thriving home or family life, and make healthy choices.
The common thread is that successful people have a plan.
Having a plan does not mean things will go perfectly. I’m a mom of 3 little kiddos and we’re living through a global pandemic. I know for certain that things will certainly not be perfect all the time. We create plans so we have something to fall back on when things go awry, when we feel overwhelmed, when we’re stressed out, or have no energy to make decisions. A plan is a gift you are giving your future self.
Don’t know where to start when planning out your week? I’m here to help. I’ve got you covered with a fill-in-the-blank plan ready to go!
Create a plan for your week by answering the following four questions:
- What is a rough meal plan for the week?
- What groceries did I need?
- What are the major appointments or events coming up this week?
- What are a few tasks I can knock off right now to help me breathe easier and start the week with a clean slate?
I challenge you to try it for the week ahead! Take a few minutes to create a plan for your week. Write it down. This is a guaranteed way to make the Sunday scaries a little less threatening. Plus, you’ll be less stressed throughout the week and trust me, you deserve less stress.
Grab a piece of computer or notebook paper and answer the four questions above. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy – the point is to get things out of your head and onto paper. Write a plan out for the week and your week will run smoother!
I do this practice each week with our Prep Day Notepad that includes a clear outline for each week. It’s a pretty cute little notepad, and let’s be honest, I’m more inclined to use something regularly if it’s also going to look beautiful sitting on my desk.
Writing things down creates mental clarity. If you don’t have a paper planner, you need one now! We’ve got January 2021 weekly planners for 30% off and an undated daily planner in the cutest prints and patterns!
