Tea Time is Helping Keep Our Family on Track

October 22, 2020 whitneyenglish 1 Comment

If you follow me on Instagram you know we’ve been having a great conversation about how to motivate kids. It helps to know I’m not alone, whether it’s struggling with a parenting decision or simply checking in every morning to say hi!

After the great discussion and advice from this community, I realized our family needed to reset. Want to see how we are checking in with each other? You can do this too, whether you have kids or not!

Let’s talk about HEART Goals daily checklists for the whole family! We’ve found a way to keep everyone on track.

We’ve instilled “tea time” at our house! It reminds me to create special moments with my kids and teach them to be intentional with their time. The other day I made muffins and we walked through the HEART Goals for Kids Checklist. It’s the best way we’ve found to keep our kids on track with their responsibilities. I took a ton of advice from our IG community and added it right into their checklists, giving a sticky notepad to each one of the kids!

Tea time is also a good reset for me. Our HEART Goals Daily Plan notepad is the checklist I need to make sure I’m staying above water every day. Yes, I have responsibilities to my work and my family but I also have to make sure I’m taking care of myself. This notepad helps me quickly run through the five things I need to do every day. That’s the only way I can be the best Whitney (and mom) I can be!

Installing tea time at our house has allowed us all to stop and think through our daily responsibilities. These HEART Goal daily checklists are perfect for the whole family. I love that a little notepad can help each one of us walk through the HEART Goals process on a daily basis.

The discussion we’ve had on Instagram this week has been life-giving. I’m so grateful for this community! Thank you for being here. Are we friends on Instagram? DM me and say hi. I’d love to hear from you!
