How to Get Things Done
Are you as intrigued by before and after photos on Instagram as I am? Transformation photos hook me. I’m not just talking about weight loss photos. I love any kind of transformation!
I’m talking about people holding up signs saying they’ve paid off $100,00 in debt in 14 months. Or a kitchen pantry in total and utter clutter and chaos becoming organized. These little squares on Instagram keep me scrolling because I cannot get enough.
As I was thinking about how these incredible humans made most of these things happen. I realized that none of those stories got results because they made a mental list. Did they make a mental shift? Sure. But you guys. They had a plan and THEY WROTE IT DOWN.
Here’s my challenge if you GENUINELY want to transform something in your life, you’ve got to write it down. Stop thinking a mental list is going to get you to where you want to go.
Careful — if you take this advice, you just might change your life!
Mental lists don’t work. If you want to make a change, you’ve got to write it down in order to get it done. I make lists in my paper planner (the Week on One Page format has TONS of room for lists and notes) and on our planning notepads too!
Writing things down creates clarity. Writing things down frees up valuable mental space. Writing things down in a paper planner is life-changing.
What do you want to change? What are you going to write down today?
