The Dresses You Always Ask About
I love sharing behind the scenes of everyday life with all of you. Posting pictures and videos is such a fun part of my job! I enjoy getting to see what really interests you. Lately, I’ve noticed when I share a new IGTV or Instagram post there is one consistent type of inquiry I get in return.
“Where is your dress from?”
“I love that shirt, where did you get it?”
“Ahh, you have to tell me where you got that cute dress you wore in your last video!”
It’s true! I live in Mi Golondrina dresses and shirts in the spring, summer, fall and you all have noticed! Without fail, someone asks me about them every time I wear one. These pieces are beautiful and so effortlessly comfortable: two of my wardrobe must-haves.
My wardrobe is a mix of investment pieces as well as items I get from Amazon or Target at a much lower price point. Mi Golandrina is a brand I love and while some of the pieces are more of an investment, I know I will wear and love each item for a VERY long time.
Mi Golondrina was founded by a woman named Cristina Lynch and they have an incredible story.
Founded in 2013, Mi Golondrina’s mission is to share the timeless beauty and traditions of Mexican artisan-made clothing with the world. We aim to sustain the livelihoods of artisan partners in Mexico and empower them to continue their craft for generations to come.
What I love most about Mi Golindrina’s pieces is their versatility. I wear a large in their pieces. I can put on a cute pair of heels and some jewelry to make the outfit more dressy. Or I can wear it around my house with flip-flops and feel just as cute!
Each Mi Golondrina piece is hand-embroidered and made in Mexico. Oaxaca, Mexico, known for its textile embroidery, is where the shirts are created. It’s some of the most beautiful embroideries in the world.
They arrive in the USA unhemmed and because they are handmade, the artisans pick the thread and fabric combinations. If you go to the store in Dallas you can have them custom hemmed and hand-select your preferences. But beware, sometimes there is only one of each piece. My advice is if you see something and love it, buy it quickly so you don’t miss out!
I am not sponsored by Mi Golondrina and this is not an ad. I just love their dresses and shirts and clearly, you all do too! Click here to shop Mi Golondrina and here to see me in yet another Mi Golondrina dress!
