One of my all-time favorite home accessories designers is John Derian. In his true right, he is actually an artist, transforming ordinary glass into glimpses of the past. He has a charming shop in New York City that actually doubles as a curiosities shop. Walking in the door, you feel like you are in part natural history museum, part high end antiques shop.
The supply of his decoupaged designs is endless; you are sure to find something to fit your tastes. I highly recommend starting a collection of saucers–they double well as knick knack dishes and coasters, and a unique stack of them sitting on a side table is a great conversation starter for guests.
