Thinking About Launching A Brand?

December 14, 2012 whitneyenglish 4 Comments

Yesterday was an amazing experience. As the Holly Mathis site went live, it was amazing to sit back and see so much hard work and effort pay off. The goal of branding is to prompt people to connect with your brand, and people connected with Holly–it was beautiful to watch.

In the past 24 hours, several people asked, emailed, and commented, inquiring about branding packages. It’s always exciting when people admire your work enough to ask you to do more, but honestly, it’s also incredibly intimidating. The dynamics of each project change based on personality and expectations–what if I disappoint someone? There are tons of people out there who offer branding packages, why should I try to compete? And on that note, I’m not a big fan of competing in general. What if doing this makes people dislike me?

If I was coaching myself through an Authenticate session, here’s what I’d tell me: “Silly girl, those are fears. Fears are just feelings. Emotions. And emotions aren’t real. And to respond to your questions: people are going to dislike you no matter what you do. Get over it. That’s life. Focus on the people who love you for you. Be awesome for them. Quit worrying about competing. If you don’t want to compete, don’t. Just be yourself. No one can compete with an original, authentic, you. As far as disappointing people goes, know from the start that you’re not going to be able to please everyone. Pick clients who are creative and friendly, and you’ll be fine.”

OK, self. Thanks for the pep talk. I can do all that. And since so many people asked, Kate and I got together for a call yesterday afternoon. As we brainstormed a potential offering, we both got excited. Really excited.

On that note, Katelyn Brooke Designs and Whitney English would like to announce the offering of Brand New You, a 2013 brand strategy collaboration by creatives for creatives. For three bookings, Kate and I have decided to team up to offer this amazing, albeit limited edition, opportunity. For 2013, we are offering a complete branding package for three (only three!) lucky people.

What you get:

  • An Authenticate session with Whitney. We’ll dig into your why, how, and what, and finishing by formulating a style strategy.
  • Logo Design! Once we have your style strategy in place, we’ll pick a designer who can best represent that style, and have a logo designed!
  • Brand Style Guide, like the one I did for Holly Mathis Interiors.
  • A website! Or, actually, we might call it a blogsite. Kate from Katelyn Brooke Designs will program your new WordPress site using the Genesis framework. This package includes five pages: a landing page, an about page, a contact page, a showcasing your products or services, and a blog page. If you need more pages, we can work out payment options.

If you’re interested in booking a Brand New You package for a 2013 brand and website launch, start today by contacting me. We’re booking first come, first serve. We’ll start a brand in January, a second in February, and a third in March. And here’s the most amazing thing you’ve heard all year: we’re doing this for only $2500. A brand strategy, a logo, and a website. That’s unheard of, ya’ll! A $500 non-refundable deposit will hold your spot.

We’re only committing to three clients because we want this to be just right, reflecting each client in an authentic, beautiful way. If you want one of those brands to be you, reach out with your questions and let me know.

Thank you all, for your sweet words and encouragement. I feel like I’m saying that a lot lately, but I’m so grateful to be able to help people in this way.

xoxo,
Whitney

I am so thankful that I discovered the Day Designer and have had some time to read through your inspiring blog. Thank you so much! And now I discover this post! Your three spots may already be booked, but I would love to talk to you further about your branding services. I have a starting point and a web designer, so I don’t know that the package is 100% right for me, but I LOVE what you all have put together!
