October Q&A Round Up
There have been so many great comments on the blog lately, our team wanted to share a couple we thought might be helpful to expand on a little—and we wanted to use this opportunity to tell you about our November comment contest! Every time you comment on a blog post we publish in November, you’ll get an entry into the contest—and since we’re extending the contest from a week-long contest to a month-long contest, we’re upping the prize too! The winner of the November comment contest will get a whole bundle of goodies, hand-selected and packaged by Whitney!
From Time Blocking:
Barbara asked: Does this mean that you keep two planners–a Day on One Page and a Week on One Page also?
What a great question! The answer is yes! The Day on One Page and Week on One Page planners were designed to work together, and Whitney loves to use both! One of Whitney’s favorite sayings is “different seasons call for different systems.” That’s how the Week on One Page came about—she was in a new season of life as a full time mama, with more to-do lists and fewer appointments. But as her season shifted back to business owner again, she discovered that there were days she wanted the functionality of a daily planner with time blocking capabilities.
Enter the Day on One Page. Because it’s undated, it’s perfect to pick up on the days when you need to plan your day out a little more in-depth. While some people are loyal to one format or the other, because Whitney’s day-to-day varies depending on what is going on, there are some weeks that the Week on One Page is the perfect fit, and others that require the Day on One Page. For those that want the functionality of both, but don’t necessarily want to have two planners, we have sticky notepads with both the Day on One Page and Week on One Page format, designed to fit right in your planner!
From Four Reasons Why SMART Goals Aren’t So Smart Anymore:
Meghan said: I have the HEART Goals notepad and really need to start using it. I’ve been so overwhelmed lately and feel like this would help me tremendously. How much time do you set aside for this and how often do you do it?
Whitney’s Answer: I’ve used HEART for so long now that it doesn’t take me long to make a list. I also don’t pressure myself to find EVERY single thing in my brain and get it down on paper. If it’s important enough, it will surface again.
Whitney walked through a recent example of how she uses HEART on this post: managing your to-do list. If you want a deep dive, she wrote a whole book about it! A More Beautiful Life is the perfect companion to a HEART goals notepad or Week on One Page planner, which comes with pages for monthly HEART check-ins.

The Sticky Notepads are fabulous!
I have both sticky pads and planners but most important I use them.
One of the many things I’m grateful for this month.

I use a weekly planner, but some days I pull out a day-on-a-page notepad and it’s so helpful! It’s essential on a busy day.
Yes, the notepad is such a great add-on for the weekly planner! Best of both worlds!

When I came across the Week on One Page planner a few years ago I ordered one immediately. Everything I need and nothing more. Add in Whitney’s gorgeous designs and Heart Goals it’s perfection!
So happy to hear that the Week on One Page planner is the perfect fit for you, Trudi!

Thank you for making such beautiful daily and weekly planners! They are so pretty I sometimes hesitate to start using them, but once I break the ice, I appreciate how functional they are as well.
So happy to hear you are loving your planner! It can be intimidating to make that first mark in them, but we think they only grow in beauty as they earn the marks of becoming part of our daily lives!
